Two Sided Purse

These two-sided purses are adorable! They are made of soft fleece and cotton fabric on the letter and flower. This was made for my niece Lauren who recently broke her arm and couldn't come to a sleep over at my house so her sister Brooke, helped me sew this :). It has two pockets and one flap that will switch to covering whichever side you need. It can be made in a variety of colors and the flower/letter portion can be designed however you like with various fabrics.

My niece Brooke, modeling this purse. She even helped to make it! :)

Two Sided Purse Price (10x8inches): $15.00 + s&h in U.S.A.

purse is made of fleece and cotton fabric. machine washable cold cycle. dry on low. (there will be purposeful fraying, excessive stringing can be cut off after washing).

FREE Christmas Craft Idea

So, I was invited to an Ornament party coming up where you are supposed to make 'homemade' ornaments. Being as 'crafty' as I am, after agreeing to do it, I actually found it quite challenging! I definitely wanted to do something different than everyone and tried to guess what would or could be brought to the party (gosh forbid if you do the same thing as another! lol). I have no idea! I have never been to such a party but I was determined to find an idea that would be unique and I 'think' I found one, we'll see : /, yikes!

Isn't it SO cute! I wanted to share it with you so you can make it for your family's too or for a friend. In my case, I had to make as many of the same ornaments as there are guests (13 or 15, I don't remember). All guests do the same and you end up with one each of the guests homemade ornaments. Like a cookie exchange? She doesn't' know it but, I am also giving the hostess of the party, supplies to make it with her 6 kids (and we pulled my brother's families names and we are making them for their 3 1/4 kids too. shhh! don't tell either family). I'm excited! I know how much she must 'love' a potential messy children's craft party!? he he he. So, all you need is to go to a craft store for the paint, ribbon and wood spools. I found wood spools in a package of 4 at Hobby Lobby for $2.99(?) and they were individually available at Michael's Craft Store for 79 cents each possibly? Each family member can have their Christmas wishes, typed or written on paper then taped to the painted spool. You can change it every year if you want or just mark the year on the tag to commemorate that year? OR each year, attach the list to the last year and keep winding it around the spool to remember what you wanted in years past (that one's my personal favorite idea). It's SUPER easy and the best idea that someone else made up. ;) Here is the link to the "how to" that I got my idea for this project:
There are also LOTS of other great ideas for you to glean off of if you are looking for cheap and easy things to do with the kids in your life (even if they aren't yours and you just borrow them. lol). All ideas: http://familyfun.go.com/christmas/christmas-decorations/christmas-ornaments/1/

Lettering

You will LOVE this lettering! There is so much I can do with it to personalize it for you. Colors, Lifestyle and Patterns can be displayed.

This was lettering I did for my son. He was born in Atlanta Georgia so we got the local newspaper to use for this purpose. The other ideas for this that may be featured later: lettering in funny papers, black and white or colored Sunday funnies. Won't YOU be the first for funnies?! :) I did a Map of where a child was born.
(click on the pictures to see them larger)

As you can see below, I usually mix patterns but can definately do all lettering in the same pattern. $7.00 per letter.

"Stewart" in 4in lettering.

12 inch lettering

I can do this lettering in a whole name or initials. The lettering I purchase varies per availability. So far, the "LIAM" lettering and "CRU" lettering shapes have been good to depend on. The design ON the lettering is what changes. You tell me (or send a picture of) the coloring of what you want, I will do my best to personalize. I have done this for people's Last Names, Children's Rooms and Business's.

Each letter is $7.00 each + shipping and handling

add 50 cents for adding hanging ribbon/twine, per letter

Bib, Burp Cloths, Tab/Tag Blankets & Blankets

All "a" monogramming.

Here is a bib with magnetic closure, some of my Burp Cloths with Initials, Tab/Tag Blankets (babies love these small, easy to carry 'blankets' and suck on and play with the ribbons), and Blankets.

These two were made for twin girls with "M" and "S" initials. I used the same fabrics but switched how I used them.

The Blanket in this set is backed with Fleece.

All items are designed for the "raw edges" of the material to fray a little when washed. Burp cloths get softer when washed.

BIBS: $12.00 each *

BURP CLOTHS: $7.00 each*

TAB/TAG BLANKETS: $12.00 each*

ALL PROCEEDS BENIFIT OUR NEXT ADOPTION EFFORTS :) THANK YOU!

I decided to name my crafts "Mulholland Drive" after the street I lived on as a young girl. My memories of those days are simple and fun and full of imagination. This inspired me as it was the first memories I have. Hopefully you will appreciate the simple, fun and imaginative Gifts and Crafts I make inspired by those times. No matter what, I love what I do and hope you do to.
I had a very active imagination being 5th of 11 children. We were encouraged to be independant and creative and with so many kids, there were plenty of opporunities to sneek off to day dream! ;) I love to make and create and can't seem to stop myself from doing it! Full-time, I am a successful Hairstylist, Wife and new Mommy but apparently I'm not busy enough because I love to find things I love and improve on them, putting my own stamp on it. This blog is a place to display all I do so hopefully you will enjoy it also. I am constantly creating so check back often. I love to hear what you have to say about what I do so leave a comment or two... :)
